About Me

Me
I am the author of two books of poetry, "My Mad Love" and "The Cherub Of Pierzanie Prison And Other Poems", two books of poetry together with Kelli Simpson and Joy Ann Jones, "Gemini/Scorpio/Capricorn" and "Three-Note Howl:The Wild Hunt" and a book of short stories "Night Blooms."

My most recent book of poems
I am the daughter of a newspaperman and grew up in a house full of books. My father took me to a great many games at Tiger Stadium growing up. My favorite Aunt, my maternal grandmother, and my paternal step-grandfather were all great baseball fans. I have been a Tiger fan all my life and always will be.

I got my first APBA game in 1980 and played continuously until 2002, when other things took my attention. In January of 2016 I got the urge to play once more and have fallen in love with APBA all over again.

Bosco, superdog
I have one grown son and have had a succession of dogs. I love all my children like crazy. I am a terrific fan of the singer Emmylou Harris, and my National League team is the Cardinals.

You can find my poetry on my Shay's Word Garden blog.

If you replayed the 1934, 1968 or the 2006 full MLB season and they played to form, who would you root for in the World Series?

I take it the pitcher for the Braves, recovering from TJ surgery, either misspells his name or is it a gender thing?

Not sure how he spells it, Steve, but i do know it's different from mine. I've noticed guys spell it Shea. Is that how your pitcher does?
